Welcome to Camp Gifford
For the second year, we will be hosted by Camp Gifford which is a youth camp operated by the Salvation Army located on Deer Lake, north of Spokane.
We do need to point out and be aware that Camp Gifford has some different rules and requirements for us to use the site. For example, since this a youth camp operated by the Salvation Army, no alcoholic beverages or smoking is allowed on the property. No food or snacks are allowed in the cabins. Quiet hours are enforced, etc. Please review the “CAMP RULES” as part of your registration process.
Also, the pricing is not based on a per person basis but by the buildings we use and food that is purchased for the weekend which results in a flat fee.
3 Nights Lodging and meals:
Rate per person is $225.00
Cancellations: If you registered for the event and need to cancel, cancellations need to be communicated to Pat Carson by August 29th.
FEE PAYMENT
For District 5060 Clubs – Fees will be paid by the District 5060 Treasurer .
For District 5080 Clubs – Fees are paid on arrival at camp to the designated Treasurer.
District 5080 YEOs, please bring cheques to camp payable to District 5080 Youth Exchange committee. Canadian payments must be made in the form of a Bank Draft in USD. We also take Credit Cards though “Square” with an additional (3.3%) service fee.

Location
Camp Gifford, Deer Lake, Washington: For directions from Chewelah heading south on State Route 395 or from Deer Park heading north on State Route 395.

Arrival
Participants can arrive starting Thursday night. Registration 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Registration will be in the covered area outside the Camp Dining Hall (Map). Please have dinner before you arrive at camp.
What to bring
*Pillow
*sleeping bag or bedding
*flashlight or headlamp,
*casual clothes
*warm clothes including jacket and rain gear
*comfortable shoes for hiking trails
*toiletries: towel, face cloth, soap and personal items
*notebook or paper and pens for taking notes.
For students add:
*bathing suit and towel for swimming
*blazers, Pins
*Flags
*Passports,
*J1 papers (US), and Visas (even US inbounds must bring these as we check them at camp) Originals and hard copies. Please, no digital items on your phone.
