HIGHLIGHTS
For your packing and planning, here is our TENTATIVE agenda:
Friday Night – pizza tailgate party at Colville High School’s Interact meeting room with Colville’s Interact members
Students to attend the CHS football game Students should bring money to buy snacks.
Saturday – catch a school bus to the Little Pend O’reille Wildlife Refuge. Participants will need warm clothing and boots (or old sneakers), work gloves, and a water bottle. The exchange students will participate, along with Colville Interactors, in our fall community service at the wildlife refuge. We will be planting native flowers and plants.
Visit Jerry McKellar’s studio at Colville Mountain. Jerry is a Rotarian painter and sculptor. There are several of Jerry’s sculptures around town.
We will go to the Corn Maize. Each student can also buy a pumpkin to paint or carve at the high school cafeteria later on. The cost of pumpkins is between $10 and $65, depending on the size of the pumpkin. They offer hot drinks and snacks at the maze for anyone hungry.
After dinner, we will have the pumpkin carving or painting contest (prizes donated by the Colville Interact Club). If time allows, we can do some line dancing or Zumba dancing.
Sunday
Meet at 9:00 am at the high school cafeteria for a pancake breakfast.
10:00 or 10:30 am, walk the Rotary Trail next to the high school.
