WHAT TO BRING

Bedding and pillows are provided, flashlight or headlamp, casual clothes, warm clothes including jacket and rain gear, ski clothing for the ski day, comfortable shoes for hiking trails, water bottle,  toiletries: towel, face cloth, soap and personal items.   For Participants from Canada add:  Passports and Visas

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

The Bunk House can hold 35 guests in a dorm-type setting. The dorm beds are quite nice, and linens and bedding are provided. However, even though there is a dorm arrangement, the sleeping areas are built for privacy. A set of twin bunk beds is built into a partitioned nook, but do not have doors.  In other words, there is a top twin bed and a bottom that exist in a walled off nook. Imagine a maze where you go around a corner and come across a set of two beds.

If adults prefer, they are welcome to seek accommidations in Sandpoint if they do not want to sleep in the dorm

COVID-19

**Those of you arriving from Canada must check the latest guidelines for entry into the USA and requirements for returning to Canada. Guidelines can change at any time.

SKIING AND SNOW BOARDING OPTIONS

Sandpoint Rotary Club has created a “ski snowboarding experience” based on the various pricing options for lift tickets, rental needs, and skiing and snowboarding ability levels. (see below). After a review of the options, please use the Google signup sheet to let us know what your ability level is and what your gear needs are.  Please review the ability levels and then honestly rate your ability level.

Note that helmets are mandatory. If you are getting a rental package the helmet is included.  You can also rent a helmet for $10.00.

Lessons are required for all student skiers and snowboarders unless you are an advanced skier or snowboarder.

For Beginners: There is a package deal for students who have never skied before or have minimal experience, this is the best option for those students.  Beginners are limited to the lower part of the mountain.

Intermediate: If a student has some ski experience beyond a beginner level, (can get on and off of the chair, can make controlled turns and stop on green and blue terrain) the menu becomes Ala carte based on age, rental needs, and lesson choices:

For those choosing the Intermediate options, the lessons are in groups and pricing is for a group. Group lessons are available and have a per person cost, but we would need to fill a group (either three students for a 2 hour lesson or 5 students for a 3 hour lesson).
